Audience Participation is a series of collages inspired by the 1920’s, now disused, Streatham Hill Theatre, using photographs I’ve taken in January 2019. The first in the series celebrates the decorative ceiling and chandelier: Photograph of the painted ceiling and chandelier printed on canvas sewn with shards of mirror, shining again with reflective light.

The three other works are layered with mirrors and found objects on archival paper. The viewer’s reflection constantly alters the work and allows participating in the show.

Audience Participation I: 150cm x 150cm, mirror shards, thread, cotton canvas. Hanging rail can be included.

Audience Participation II, III, IV: 38cm x 48cm, mixed media collages, sold box-framed individually or as a triptych.
